I denied my parents in leaving Nepal

I left Kathmandu at 7 in the morning for the trek to Annapurna base camp. I was on the way in Pokhara. But later the bus stopped for the lunch and a guy got call from the family and was told about the earthquake. Later, we felt the big aftershocks so everyone started running. I was with my two friends, wondering what to do.

I understood it was an earthquake, and we stood up in the table and were looking around the people.

For us it was quiet normal, and I saw the windows of restaurant moving. It was quiet scary, but nothing was destroyed there.

Nothing was destroyed nor collapsed, so we didn’t panic and stood where we were.

When we arrived in Pokhara, where everything was normal like nothing was collapsed and we arrived in hotel. We listened to the news and then I realized it was really big. I talked with my family back home and my parents were really afraid. I didn’t really know the consequence of earthquake and it was sad.

During my trek I thought I could go home because it was not possible to stay in Nepal after the devastating earthquake but after the second one, I realized that I should stay here and help people. Besides, I was assured that Nepal was safe for people like us to stay and support the victims.

By staying here I started raising funds and went to Kavre last week and provided water purifier, baby milk powder, food to the people out  there. I went to Sindupalchowk helped people out there and also the people living in Bhaktapur.

Nepal will rise again. There should be a feeling of positivity. Though it will take time but it will be the same again.

Yes humanity is the most important element. As now we can see the all international aid provided to the people and it’s a good sign. All the people should be united at this time and help each other. I would like to suggest people to help promote the tourism industry which is one of the major economic sources here.

Nepal will rise again, though some place will not be the same like the historical places. Government should show the effort and sign of positivity.
