Internship Nepal program is an initiative to facilitate media,
education, health, medical, cultural, community development,
environmental, social-sector and Human rights internships to foreign
students/professionals in Nepal. Health Care/Medical: Medical/nursing students will work as volunteers at government and private teaching hospitals and clinics. More>> Journalism/Photojournalism: Volunteers/students work at national daily newspapers and magazines as interns (Running for the past two years. Most students so far have been from the US.)More>> Home Stay/Culture study program: In this program, participants live with different ethnic communities during their internship period and learn about the culture, lifestyle, language, and festivals of the diverse cultures and people of Nepal. More>> Teaching: Students in this program live in a certain village or town and teach at local schools, monasteries or orphanages. Placement is fixed by mutual arrangement and correspondence. More>> Human rights: Students shall work at Human Rights related NGOs or INGO's for two to twenty weeks to study human rights issues and situations in Nepal, and pursue short- or long-term research on relevant issues with our coordination. More>> Stay in Monastery: Participants live in a monastery with monks. They will learn about monks' daily lifestyle and join daily activities in the monastery. Participants should contribute their skills to support the monastery, such as teaching. Orphanage: There are more than two hundred orphanages in existence in Kathmandu valley alone. We choose one of the orphanages for our volunteer as their nature of work. We can also arrange such placement in rural areas of the country. More>>
