Program cost

Volunteer Forum Nepal (VFN), a non-profit, non-governmental organization, is working for the benefit of poor communities in rural parts of Nepal. VFN is always working hard to raise funds, through various activities and fundraisers, and trying to coordinate programs with like-minded organizations.
We don't charge our volunteers for placement. So our programs are absolutely the most affordable in Nepal. The program cost goes for volunteer's expenses like room, food, sight-seeing, pick up from airport, etc. Besides that we have to save some portion from that amount to carry out all of our projects. But VFN keeps costs as low as possible.
The volunteering period can be arranged from one to twenty weeks and fees range from US$250 to US$ 1200, depending heavily on the program and the length of stay. The program fee is to be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu.

Visa (a 60 day tourist visa is only US $30; extensions are US $30 per 30 days with three renewals possible. Maximum 150 days in one year)

Also you will need a weekly budget of up to US $20 to cater for all your other expenses like bottled water, personal items, beverages and entertainment.

 

Airport tax when you leave Kathmandu airport to be paid  US $ 23.00
